<p>Two weeks ago I was in Mississippi training<br />
my two Judo National Champions that have<br />
been tearing up the juvenile judo scene.</p>
<p>Last week I was in Boston, Mass with 4 Time<br />
Olympian Jimmy Pedro, finishing up filming<br />
on our new project Underground Gripfighting 2.0</p>
<p>Arrived home on Thursday on the 29th at 11:45pm<br />
and turned right around and headed to the airport<br />
at 3:30am for a 5:15am flight for Cleveland, Ohio.</p>
<p>I am now in Cleveland, Ohio assisting in the training<br />
camp of&#8230;&#8230;..</p>

<p>See none of that stuff works at GETTING THE<br />
FAT OFF.</p>
<p>In order to get the fat OFF you need to <br />
severely change your diet.</p>
<p>Working out. Lifting weights and doing<br />
cardio are all supplemental things.</p>
<p>THE MAIN THING is watching what you<br />
eat. Paying attention to what time that you<br />
eat and monitoring HOW MUCH you eat.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it. </p>
<p>It&#8217;s not about eating &#8220;healthy&#8221; its about <br />
eating for the function of losing fat and losing<br />
weight.</p>

Did You Know This?<br />

<p>Did you know that if you body fat is 15% or above<br />
that it is almost impossible for you to see your <br />
6pack. You have to get your body fat percentage<br />
lower than that if you want to see your abs.</p>
<p>And that&#8217;s good to know. Because, who really <br />
wants to have 20, 30, 40 percent body fat. </p>
<p>Some people do, but it&#8217;s not what they rally want.</p>
<p>So do yourself a favor and CHANGE your diet <br />

<p>And then you will have a problem because you<br />
will deal with the &#8220;cost&#8221; of something that <br />
you didn&#8217;t think was &#8220;worth&#8221; investing in.</p>

Introduction<br />
================</p>
<p>Man, I tell you what, I can still remember how much<br />
I weighed when I got to college. </p>
<p>I was 188lbs.  </p>
<p>When I graduated from college I was 218.</p>
<p>I had a good career as a Judo Player and even went to the<br />
Olympics in 2004. The weight class in which I competed<br />
was the 220lb weight class, but I only weighed 218lbs and <br />
never had to cut weight.</p>
<p>After the Olympics I gained some weight and hovered around<br />
in the 220s. Then, the 230s and then I decided that I wanted<br />
to fight in Mixed Martial Arts. </p>
<p>I did a couple of fights and then fought on Showtime in January<br />
of 2011 for an organization by the name of Strikeforce. I fought<br />
in the 205lb weight class. </p>
<p>One month after that I was tipping the scales at a whopping 246lbs.</p>
<p>Now I need not tell you that 246lbs is a lot of weight.</p>
<p>I should be around the 212-218 range at all times, buuuuuuuuut, <br />
I really like barbeque ribs and Ben and Jerry&#8217;s &#8220;Chunky Monkey&#8221;<br />
Ice Cream.  :-)</p>
<p>Also I just workout and eat what I want&#8230;.. well, I used to until&#8230;&#8230;</p>

Age Has A Way Of Changing<br />
Your Perception<br />

<p>When I passed the age of 35, things started getting very difficult<br />
for me. The weight just DID NOT &#8220;fall off&#8221; like it used to.</p>
<p>It was work. </p>
<p>I mean REALLLLLLL work. </p>
<p>But it was something that I was able to work on. I mean, I had<br />
to. </p>
<p>I&#8217;ve said it before and I&#8217;ll say it again. The number one predictor<br />
of living long is being lean. The leaner you are, the better chance<br />
you have at living longer. </p>
<p>====================<br />
But why&#8230;&#8230;why the 6 pack<br />
====================</p>
<p>Hell, if you are going to be lean&#8230;. you may as well look good<br />
while doing it and I always need to have a goal. If I don&#8217;t my <br />
workouts and training are done before I even start. </p>
<p>So, even though I have my way, I decided to try a new<br />
way and it works like a charm. </p>
<p>It works soooo good that I&#8217;m on a quest to find a better way<br />
and to come up with one. But as of right now, THIS IS THE <br />
BEST way that I know of to come up with a quality 6 pack</p>

<p>Here are the things that you need to do to get a flat stomach in a<br />
week or month :-</p>
<p>1. Break down your meals – This is the very first thing to do. You<br />
need to break down your meals and take 5 to 6 small meals in a day<br />
rather than having 3 large meals. This will supercharge yout body&#8217;s<br />
metabolism. And in turn this will help you burn more calories while<br />
doing the same regular activities. Never go on a fast – this will<br />
slow down your body metabolism. To my church folks, I<br />
do believe in fasting but its for losing or getting rid of the<br />
excess spiritual weight not the physical<br />
weight. We use proper nutritional dieting for that.</p>

<p>2. Operation&#8230;..Get it out of there!  &#8211; This is also one of the<br />
very first things that you need to do.  – Check your refrigerator<br />
or cupboard and clear all stocks of food that contains excess fat<br />
or carbohydrates, specially all sweet foods, canned foods,<br />
sweetened drinks like colas,chocolates and everything that you<br />
think may add excess calories to your diet. Just throw them out.<br />
Don&#8217;t get them away. Don&#8217;t guzzle them down. Dont say you are going<br />
to start AFTER you eat them (that will only add weeks and months on<br />
to your goal).  Just get rid of the bad stuff&#8230;.. NOW. After you<br />
have done that, fill up your fridge with the type of food that YOU<br />
KNOW belong in there. Fruits and vegetables. Protein and a limited<br />
amount of carbs.  When it comest o veggies&#8230;..remember green<br />
vegetables are the best as they contain the least calories and a<br />
lot of fiber (fiber cannot be digested by our system so it adds no<br />
calories but definitely fills up our stomach so that their is less<br />
space left). Do not eat too much of sweet fruits too as sweet<br />
fruits contain a lot of sugar. Eat chicken and fish leaving out the<br />
fat. Although I REALLY love steak, it is very difficult to get a<br />
six pack while eating many and various forms of red meat. This has<br />
been my experience. Everytime I get down to &#8220;fighting weight&#8221; I&#8217;m<br />
eating fish and chicken. That&#8217;s it. .</p>
<p>3. Drink a lot of water – Water has no calories but it does help in<br />
filling your stomach. So drink a lot of water all throughout the<br />
day. I really enjoy Crystal light and a variation of zero calorie<br />
drinks. That&#8217;s just me. I cannot argue with anyone who says those<br />
things aren&#8217;t good for you. All I will say is this&#8230;.. nothing<br />
beats water.That&#8217;s just a fact.  Often I drink a glass of water<br />
before meals so that I wil take in less food to feel satisfied.</p>
<p>4. Intensive workouts – Do intensive workouts – train hard for a<br />
few minutes and then train in a relaxed manner for a few minutes,<br />
then repeat. You may do any thing like cycling, walking or running<br />
in this pattern. Do this for about half an hour. This will trick<br />
your body system and boost your metabolism tremendously..</p>

workout. Increasing your sex diet will help you lose more weight<br />
because sex is a strenuous activity&#8230;.. well&#8230; for most folks.</p>
<p>These were the few things that you need to do to get a flat or<br />
rather a flatter stomach fast that is in 1 or 2 weeks or rather in<br />
a month. Getting a perfect flat stomach will definitely depend on<br />
how much fat you are having before you begin – more the fat, more<br />
will be the time required by you to lose the fat. Getting a perfect<br />
flat stomach in a week or month will also depend upon the amount of<br />

Chick-Fil-A, a candy bar, etc.,.) because you are hungry<br />

diet program.</p>
<p>Now I know many of you have a goals of getting a 6 pack,<br />
running a marathon and getting back in school and that&#8217;s<br />

<p>Every once in a while I like to communicate with you all to tell<br />
you how things are going and what&#8217;s happening in my life.</p>
<p>Well there are several new developments in my life that I can&#8217;t<br />
wait to tell you about.</p>
<p>First&#8230;</p>
<p>** Right now I&#8217;m in the process of writing my second scholarly<br />
article of the year. It&#8217;s my goal to get three done this year along<br />
with all the rest of the things that I have going on. As a PhD I<br />
basically took a vow to govern myself as a scholar and constantly<br />
add new information to the current body of knowledge and I am doing<br />
this. I&#8217;m writing my second article on Mixed Martial Arts in order<br />
to grow the field of study.</p>
<p>Secondly&#8230;</p>
<p>** I have accepted the responsibility and offer to be one of the<br />
staff writers for PROMMANOW.<br />
The blog is part of USAToday&#8217;s syndication of blogs for MMA. Some<br />
of my posts have been featured by USA Today and have been featured<br />
by 1000s of blogs across the blogosphere.</p>
<p>I was always a blogger but never thought it would turn into<br />
becoming a professional sports writer.</p>

4. They are easy and something that you can get your friends,<br />
family and community in on.</p>

other Mixed Martial Arts Fighters, coaches and enthusiasts.</p>

about training Mike Easton once again.<br />
I&#8217;ve had the opportunity to train Mike for his fights in the UWC<br />
and for his fight when he won the title and had to fight for 5 &#8211; 5<br />
minute rounds.</p>
<p>I was asked to train him again for his UFC Debut on October 1st in<br />
the Verizon Center in Washington, DC.<br />
Its going to absolutely fantastic. Mike is going to be in great<br />
shape and I&#8217;m looking forward to him being victorious.</p>
