If you’ve never done any research
on him and you train, coach or train
yourself, I would highly suggest that
you check him out.

His training philosophies are sound
and profound. As a matter of fact,
I’ve learned a lot from him over
the years.

Don’t get caught up in the sport
and it being about running. Really
read about his take on aerobic and
anaerobic conditioning. Very interesting.

Tip #5 How To Stay Fit During The Holidays

Whats going on?!?!

I’m super excited to provide you with tip number
5 of 5 of how you can stay lean and mean and
fit and in tip top shape during the holidays.

Here’s Tip #5

Every MORNING when you get up, look in the
the Mirror and say:

“I WILL MAKE RESPONSIBLE CHOICES
AND DECISIONS ABOUT ALL OF MY
FOOD CHOICES TODAY. I WILL THINK LEAN,
EAT LEAN, BE LEAN AND GET LEAN.”

Say this in the morning, at lunchtime and then
at night before you do go to bed.

I PROMISE YOU, although this is the last
tip, it IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE!

Tip #3 of How To Stay Fit During The Holiday

First and foremost, I hope you had a wonderful
weekend.

Last week I told you that I would provide with some
tips of how you can stay fit during the holiday and I
provide you with tips 1 and 2 last week.

Well now its a new week and I must provide you with the
3 other important tips of how you can stay lean and fit
during the holiday season.

Tip #3 – MAKE A BET!

That’s right.

Make a nice friendly wager with one of your friends.

Each of you put $40 to $50 up and make a friendly
wager of who can get rid of the most extra baggage
during the holidays.

The winner collects the cash.

Start now and have the wager end on January 2nd!

:-)

That way you will have to be accountable through New
Year’s Eve.

This is a trick that I’ve used often with some of my clients.

I’m not a fan of betting but I try to create as much social
pressure as possible and try to put in as many accountability
measures as possible.

Are You Ready?

PLAN TO CHEAT!!

That’s right. Plan To Cheat.

Pick the days…

Hell, you know what they are.

1. Thanksgiving
2. Christmas
3. The Office Holiday Party
4. New Years Eve

You already know them, Those are it or some form of that list. Know that you are going to cheat on those days, but don’t go OVERBOARD. Go Overboard ON THE DAYS IN BETWEEN THOSE DAYS in terms of eating right and exercising.

The key is what you do in between those days not on those days!

Got it?

Good!

Tip #2: “How To Stay Fit During The Holidays”

Introduction

Yesterday I told you how to START and INCREASE in order
to decrease and subtract from your waist during the holidays.

As we gear up for this year’s holiday season you have to be
vigiliant. Look at EVERYBODY, every party, every drink, every
piece of candy and every piece of cake as THE ENEMY.

Do NOT allow the ENEMY to make his way into your home.

So with that being said.

If you want to eat a traditional dinner fine.

But…… Here’s what we do in my home.

THE FERGUSON SOLUTION
======================

I know many of you want to know what I do during the holiday
and how I manage not to pack on not one extra ounce during
November and December.

So here’s the secret.

We go to a Thanksgiving Dinner/Buffet or something like that
and we eat.

We get FULL and then we leave.

I DO NOT EAT ANYTHING ELSE THAT DAY EXCEPT FOR THAT
BIG MEAL.

SO THERE ARE NO LEFTOVERS….. and when we go home
we are back on our regular regimen.

It’s one day of craziness and then we are done.

There’s not ice cream, no going back to the fridge for some more
potato salad or another ham sandwich.

NOTHING!!.

You enjoy yourself and then you take are arse home!

PERIOD.

If you think you are strong enough to go to someone’s
house YOU ARE NOT!!!

You will go there and then you will do what we all do.

You will walk out of there with a “plate”.

We all know what a “plate” consists of.

For Those Who Are
Not Familiar With The
Tradition of “The Plate”
=================

The plate consists of 2 paper or 2 styrofoam plates stacked
on top of each other with some much food on them that you have
to wrap “the plate” up with aluminum foil to the point where
“the plate” looks like a pitcher’s mound.

And then, along with the plate, there’s a separate napking or
another piece of foil that houses the cake and/or cornbread.

This is a STAPLE in traditional Thanksgiving Dinner homes and
is a HUGE NO-NO!!!

If you are over-w8. I can almost promise you that you are a “plate”
carrier and violator.

PLEASE STOP WALKING OUT OF PEOPLE’S HOUSE WITH A
A PLATE OF FOOD!!!!

STOP IT!

And NO SMART *SS, YOU DON’T GET A WHOLE DAY OF EATING
YOU ONLY GET ONE MEAL.

Don’t give me this, I’m just going to have my day.

In a day, you’ll put away 6,000-10,000 calories during thanksgiving.

That’s unacceptable.

Here’ the Plan and the Solution:

1. Wake up in the morning
2. Hit a nice cardio workout.
3. Eat. Stuff you face. Do what you like.
4. Leave that location.
5. Return home
6. Hit a nice workout or cardio workout in the evening
7. Sleep.
8. Wake up – and you’ll be the same weight as you were yesterday.
9. DONE!!!

Sub-Tips:

1. one meal
2. more meat than carbs
3. no calories via liquid.

Done.

Today’s Main Tip is “One Meal Outside of The House”
Today’s Sub Tips are “one meal, more protein than carbs, no calories
via liquid and don’t carry “the plate”

Done!

Tip #1: “How To Stay Fit During The Holidays”

Yesterday I told you that I would help you “subtract” and not “add”
to YOUrself durinng this holiday season which is quickly approaching.

Well I’m going to let you know what you must do.

TIP NUMBER ONE
=====================

1. START OR INCREASE

That’s it.

START…..

OR

INCREASE.

You know how if you are driving and you are getting
ready to go up a hill, you give the car a little more “gas”
so you can “attack” the hill.

Well, this is no different.

If you drive at the same speed when you get on the hill, the
car is likely to stall.

You MUST attack the hill and you also must ATTACK the
holiday season.

If you are exercising or working out now. Do 2 to 3 more reps
per exercise.

Push a little faster on your cardio training, go a little bit longer,
just 3 to 7 minutes.

Just do a little bit more than normal.

Attack the hill.

If you aren’t exercising now.. START.

NO GYM MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED.

JUST START WALKING.

PLEASE.

You CAN walk. It doesn’t cost anything.

And this is something that you can do TODAY!!!!

So that’s the tip.

INCREASE OR START.

Okay, for the smart folks
==================

I know you think that such advice is minor BUT
it is not.

Adding an extra 5 minutes to your workout during the
week, is just like you jamming an extra workout in during the week.

And doing just a couple more reps, allows you to burn a couple
more calories.

This make a HUGE difference in the end. Especially when you
are inclined to miss a day or two during the holiday season.

Remember, the key is to get out of the holidays and go into
January 2011 having SUBTRACTED from YOU not having ADDED
to YOU.

Let’s not fool ourselves.

Some of the biggest eating holidays of the month
are coming up.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah and the Holiday
