Auto Date Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Okay, okay, okay.  Let’s kick it up a notch.

If you are not doing anything….do something.

Walking is 100% Phree. It doesn’t cost a thing and can be done every day.

You can workout with me if you like, here’s how:

Now, here’s the deal.

We NEED to get leaner people.

Don’t look to Obama’s health care plan or the government to take care of you.

YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

Do the best you can with what you have.

If I gave some of you a BMW to drive, you would valet park that thing everywhere.

You’d put premium gas in it.
You’d watch where your drove it and how you drove it.
You’d wash it and keep the inside of it looking nice.
You’d get in it and just ride around and show it off.

I know you would.

Now tell me why you won’t take that kind of care with your body. IT’S YOURS. Love it. Take care of it. If for no other reason, because you love those around you.

Good people, I can’t make any promises. But I can tell you this. THE NUMBER ONE PREDICTOR of living long is being lean.  ALL OF THE WORLD RECORD holders for living long had one thing in common.

That’s right…..they were not OVERW-8

So work with me and let me help you:

To all of my 30 for 30 people, remember the rules here
>>>> http://strengthking.rhadi.com/?p=566

And please send me an email today or tomorrow telling me how things have been going for you. I for one and having a FABULOUS time. My wife and I have been working out together. We are taking my son out in the stroller and we are getting an increased amount of family time.

I’m at 227 right now and looking to get under 220. It may not happen in the next 21 days, but I’m looking forward to getting there and then training for another ½ marathon.

If you want to see what I did over the weekend and on Friday you can catch up by going to http://www.twitter.com/rhadi and clicking on the “UPDATES” selection and there you can see all of my “tweets”.

This morning, day 7 of 30, I did 30 minutes on the StairMaster. It was cool.
Day 6 was a little bit tough. We attended church in the morning and then I had to attend the wrestling banquet for Titusville High School.  After that we were pretty pooped. I ended up doing my walk on my treadmill around 9:40pm. It was late, but I got it in. NO EXCUSES!

I’m trying vigorously to get this book on Post Olympic Depression finished. It’s pretty interesting and a nice easy read. I’m trying to construct it so that it doesn’t bore the heck outta people. I’ll let some of you all read a passage from it in the next couple of weeks to give me some feedback.

Introduction
=========

I must say….

I’m pretty damn busy.

There are times when I can chill and play and then there are times when I work nonstop around the clock.

And anyone that’s in the business that I’m in is a COMPLETE LIAR if they tell you that all they do is hangout and chill all day.

I hang out and chill AFTER all of my work is done and then I do that until I work again. I DO get more vacations than most, but I also keep a schedule that will put most people in the emergency room.

But as they say….it is what it is.

I do what I do because I love it.

In the 30 minutes of cardio for 30 day challenge, I cannot begin to tell you how good it makes me feel to get the daily emails from the people who took me up on the challenge.

I received emails from married couples who are spending an obligated 30 minutes together by going on brisks walks with each other.

I received emails from couples who wanted their significant other to start working out but didn’t know how to do it, so they used my email challenge as leverage and they are feeling so much better.

I got an email 2 days ago from a young man who wrote, “Thanks for dropping the gauntlet. This is just what I needed.”

And I got another email that said, “Emailing my weight to you every day is pressure for me to eat the right things. I don’t want to email you my weight and it keeps going up. Thank you.”

This is what I want.

This is the goal.

I am an educator and a coach.

Believe it or not e-coaching is real. It’s as real as when I coach people in person.  If I can motivate you and drive you to click a button to read or purchase something, I certainly should be able to motivate you to do something for you that doesn’t cost you one red cent.

People asked me why am I doing this. And on top of that, why am I offering free coaching to everyone who finishes the challenge. Well it’s because this is my graduation gift to you. After finishing my PhD, I realized that none of it would have been possible without the support from others and believe it or not, if you don’t read what I write, invest in the solution-oriented products that I create or sign up for the advice that I have to give, well….then…..I don’t exist.

I’m here because of you and I DO because of you and I think that volunteering and providing service and a benefit to others is just the right thing to do.
For instance, I volunteered as a wrestling coach this year for Titusville High School for the whole wrestling season.  Those kids are able to walk away from that season and say that they had an Olympian coach them. Is it a big deal to me? Not really, but for the kids and parents, it was huge. And to see them leave practice inspired and with a new sense of what is possible through hard work, that’s a big deal to me.
And what is also a big deal to me is your personal health and welfare.
I love coaching elite level athletes……sometimes…… :-)

What I really love is facilitating positive change in the lives of others through education, teaching, learning, coaching, and instruction.

==============
Here’s what I found
out recently
==============

People have different capacities.

What do I mean?

Well, what I mean is that one person may be fit to perform a task that may look ridiculous to another person or just too much of a daunting task, but the capacities of that person makes the task look unachievable, whereas the task to the person that has the capacity to perform the task is perceived as “no problem” at all.

The eyes can only see what the brain can comprehend and therefore whatever we construct in our minds as being the truth…..well, it is the truth.
I had one person tell me a little while ago, “This is me. This is how I’ve been, and this is how I’m going to be. And I’m not going to change.”
I understood that person completely and unfortunately, in this world, we all have to change or at the least make some minor adjustments in order to get along with others. I think the problem lies when we just want people to get along with us. A handshake requires an extension on the part of both participants  ;-)

With that being said, extend yourselves and do a little bit more than you thought possible for yourself and for others.
Operate within your means, but by all means, don’t let your perceived ”means” put a cap on your capacity to do.

Well, I am in the final stages of editing for the book that I wrote with Taraje Williams-Murray on Post Olympic Depression.

I’m in the process of doing the background preparatory work with Jimmy Pedro for a massive project that we are projecting will be done by November of 2009 (hopefully).  It will be awesome. I can’t tell you what it’s about yet, but it is what the Judo World has been waiting for.

And I’m in the process of writing another book…… whew…(this one is gonna be good).

Auto Date Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Yesterday my wife brought home some salad and some pizza.

Although I really dig eating pizza, I refused to eat a piece. And then my wife and I began conversing and laughing and BOOM! Before I knew it, there I was, eating a slice of pizza.

I was not mad nor disappointed, I just see now how quickly we associate food with having a good time. After I realized I was eating it, I shrugged my shoulders and finished it off knowing that I would have to bump my cardio workouts up from 30 minutes to 1 hour for next couple of days.

For those of you who started the thirty day challenge with me yesterday…great! Keep up the good work and keep your email check-ins coming.

For those of you who have not started yet, please start today. Today is the last day to get in. See rules here: http://strengthking.rhadi.com/?p=566

If you could change one thing…

Auto Date Friday, March 13th, 2009

If you could change one thing about your body, what would it be?

Your arms?

The way your legs look?

The extra-ness you have on the side?

What would it be?

I certainly can’t offer you a plastic surgery solution but I can give you a surgical procedure that require CUTTING the negative things out of your mind about yourself and inserting in the positive.

I’ve been reading a lot lately and I usually rotate a couple of book at a time. I just finished the last chapter of Fooled by Randomness and am now reading the Psychology of Persuasion by Cialdini.

What I’ve been noticing from reading is that people form opinions of others and opinions of you and what you need to do is CUT OUT all opinions which have been formed about you and cut out the negative ones that you keep and adhere to and create a new opinion of yourself.

Here’s something my Dad taught me that I thought was absolutely ridiculous and silly at the time, but it works.

My ole man used to tell me to get up in the morning and look in the mirror and say, “Rhadi, I love you. You are the best in the world and a champion and you will do whatever it is that you set your mind to doing today.”

I used to say it over and over and over and over and over and over again. And I used to say it at the Olympic Training Center.  As I got older I added to my positive affirmation statements but what’s most important is that my morning affirmation statements started working like a magical FORCE FIELD against negativity.

People would see me and think that I was arrogant.

Their opinion meant NOTHING to me. I was focused. While they were talking. I was doing. I was writing books, shooting DVDs, scripting marketing campaigns, creating business relationships, taking classes, working on my PhD, fine tuning my parenting skills, become a better friend, lover and mate for my wife and doing all the things which were necessary to keep the world inside of my FORCE FIELD running smoothly.

And after I got myself together, I could start focusing on everybody else.

Well, this weekend, I’m graduating from Capella University with my PhD in education.

People ask me all the time how I do.

They ask how did I stay so motivated.

They want to know how did I balance sports, life and marriage.

They want to know how I built an fitness, sports and educational business.

And I can understand why they want to know…it’s because some of us are driven and some of us need to be driven. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

It’s like taking a long drive.  You can drive for most of the way and then when you get tired, you need to be driven and then you can pick it up once you get recharged.

Well, right now I want to recharge your life.

If you are thinking about losing weight, going back to school, starting a family, making more money, winning a world championship or losing the deadbeat friends that you have what you need right now is the solution for your problem…..

You need to get a hold of Chump Repellent.

Now I’m not here to sell you anything. As a matter of fact, I could care less if you buy it. I’m not concerned about your purchase. I’m CONCERNED about you getting the help that you need to achieve the goals that you want.

You just can’t put a price tag on success, but you can surely stick one on failure.

Let’s get tight and get right today  >>> http://www.ChumpRepellent.com
